Day 00 : Arrival
If you’ve chosen the optional airport transfers, our team will arrange to pick you up either from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.
Once you’ve settled in, we’ll schedule a pre-trek briefing at your hotel in Moshi. It’s recommended to arrive at least one day before the trek begins to ensure you’re well-rested and prepared. During the briefing, we’ll discuss the itinerary in detail, review your equipment, and provide any necessary rentals to ensure you have everything needed for a successful trek

Day 01 : Moshi to Machame Gate to Machame Camp
On the first day of your Machame Route Kilimanjaro hiking adventure, you will start by driving to Machame Gate at an elevation of 1,640 meters to complete the registration process. From there, your trek through the lush rainforest begins, gradually ascending as you immerse yourself in the natural beauty surrounding you. Finally, you will reach Machame Camp, situated at 8,835 meters, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night before continuing your journey.

Day 02 : Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Experience an exhilarating trek through the heath and moorland zone, exploring the Whiskey Route and taking in breathtaking panoramic views of the Shira Plateau along the way. As you ascend, you’ll encounter diverse flora and fauna characteristic of this unique habitat, adding to the adventure. Arriving at Shira Camp (3,845 meters), settle in for a well-deserved dinner and rest, surrounded by the natural beauty of Kilimanjaro’s landscapes.

Day 03 : Shira Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
Climb to Lava Tower at 4,000 meters for acclimatization and stunning vistas. Descend through the picturesque Barranco Wall to arrive at Barranco Camp at 3,850 meters. Enjoy a nourishing dinner and a peaceful night’s rest at Barranco Camp

Day 04: Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
After finishing breakfast, begin your trek through the alpine desert landscape. As you navigate through this unique terrain, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding rock formations. Traverse the Karanga Valley, ascending towards Barafu Camp located at an elevation of 4,600 meters. At Barafu Camp, take the opportunity to rest, hydrate, and mentally prepare for the upcoming summit push.

Afterward, head back to Moshi for a joyful celebration and some well-deserved relaxation, cherishing the memories of your remarkable journey.
